Flyers Preview

The Flyers are off to a 2-0 start including a shutout in Carolina the first game although their 5-2 win over the Devils was tarnished a bit when Marty Brodeur stunk the place up with 4 (!!) soft goals. That was one of the ugliest NHL On The Fly recaps I ever saw.

No word yet on whether BB will split up the Alex's but new Flyers acquisition Chris Pronger does have the ability to be a shutdown defenseman - just ask Mike Green (What? Too soon?) - although I said that about Charra in the season opener. Meanwhile the Flyers are getting across-the-board production from their lines. It'll be interesting to watch the third and fourth line matchups.
